Accessibility statement

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is a standard rather than a certification, and we treat it as a floor.

What we have done

• Contrast. Every text colour in our palette is checked against its background to meet or exceed the AA contrast ratio, including secondary text, captions and the featured partner badge.
• Keyboard. Everything interactive can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline that is never removed. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
• Structure. Pages use real headings in order, real landmarks, and real lists, so that screen reader navigation works as expected.
• Forms. Every field has a visible label associated with it. We do not use placeholder text as a substitute for a label. Errors are announced and linked to the field they describe.
• Images. Alternative text is a required field in our content system, so an article cannot be published with an unlabelled image. Decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them.
• Motion. We honour the operating system’s reduced motion setting, and there is no autoplaying media anywhere on the site.
• Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320px and supports zooming to 200% without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

• Hero images are currently placeholders pending photography. Their alternative text describes the intended image and will be revised when the real images land.
• Third-party scripts loaded after you accept cookies are outside our control, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. They do not affect reading or using the site.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use, we want to know. Email get in touch with the subject “Accessibility”. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology and browser you were using if you know.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days, and to fix confirmed barriers as a priority. If something cannot be fixed quickly, we will tell you and offer another way to get the same information.

This statement reflects self-assessment using automated tooling and manual keyboard and screen reader checks. It has not been reviewed by an independent third party.
