Terms of use

Last updated

By using Coastline Health Review you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and the publisher of Coastline Health Review, available at www.coastlinehealthreview.com. We refer to it below as “the site”.

2. The site is information, not advice

The site publishes general information about preventive medicine, diagnostics and longevity. It is not medical advice, it does not create any professional relationship, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed physician. This is important enough that it has its own page: see our medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

3. Permitted use

You may read, print and share our articles for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link.

You may not:

  • Republish substantial portions of our content without written permission.
  • Use automated systems to scrape the site, or use our content to train machine learning models, without written permission.
  • Submit false information through our forms, or submit information about someone else without their permission.
  • Attempt to interfere with the site, circumvent its security, or gain access to anything you are not authorised to access.
  • Use the site in any way that breaks the law.

4. Intellectual property

The articles, design, layout and trademarks on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of anything to you.

5. Submissions

When you subscribe to the newsletter or submit a diagnostics match request, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and is yours to provide. You agree we may handle it as described in our privacy policy — which, for a match request, includes passing it to the featured partner serving your area so they can contact you. That is the purpose of the form.

Please do not send us medical information. We do not want it and will not use it.

6. Featured partners and third parties

The site names a disclosed featured partner that pays to appear in our diagnostics finder. That relationship is explained in full on our our disclosures page. Inclusion is a commercial arrangement and not a clinical endorsement.

Any dealings you have with a featured partner or any other third party are between you and them. We are not a party to those dealings and are not responsible for the services they provide, the information they give you, or how they handle your information once they have it.

We link to other websites for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

7. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and current, but medicine moves and guidance changes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the site — including any decision you make on the basis of something you read here. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that applies to you, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. Where a change is material we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. We may also change or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to their authority.

12. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms, together with our privacy policy, cookie policy and medical disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us regarding the site.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms go to get in touch.
